HWW's blessed draw
Taking a rest
No run 2day ......the gals are still shopping & I am waiting
This is a nicely done up Flat White coffee whipped up inNew Zealand's most popular café...Robert Harris Cafe. Look at the fern on the surface.
Don't think will be able to jog today as the gals are still shopping & we will need to pick HWW from church @ 6pm.
May as well enjoy my coffee......
Charms Cafe
Thats the sitting area just outside the shop; WL prefers to have be inside as the chairs are more comfortable. A quaint place for a bite, prices are slightly higher than similar shops but reasonable value for money for its taste & presentation.
Mayo dip
Milo can bell
Interesting 'piggy bank' for keeping small change. Saw this innovative contraption while having lunch with M2 & WL in Charms 1U. Have not seen this adaptation for a long while.....maybe last seen in some coffee or sundries shops but without the bell.
'Grumpy man' video
This article came out in the Star INTECH section yesterday & coincidentally RT from HK also emailed the Youtube.com link saying that it is currently the most watched clip in HK. Watched it last nite & it is about this cantonese speaking uncle scolding the young chap for interrupting his call or tapping his shoulder...not too sure which one. He went on for around 6 minutes admonishing the chap regarding work pressure etc. Some 4 letter words at the end.

Good run @ Bkt Kiara
No....nothing wrong with the X-Trail. Just waiting for the X-Trail being washed after a good run today. Did a very good 4+1 km run after visiting distributor in Port Kelang.
Also bought 4kg of very luck-kang rambutans from the mobile fruit stall infront of the Under The Tree shop.
Just remembered today is KL's birthday.
Under the Tree
Had lunch with JG, Ong & FN at this place in Port Kelang known as Under the Tree. Business is good, looking number of people having lunch.
Had stewed stingray with fishballs, bak kut teh, fried eggs with bitter gourd & the best dish would definitely be the kampong chicken cooked with chinese red wine.
Good meal & it cost RM95 for 4 persons.

Traffic Jam - Kerinchi Link
Was stucked in Kerinchi Link for almost 20 minutes when it usually would only take less than 3 minutes. This is my first experienced with a bumper to bumper jam along the Kerinchi Link. Just finished 5km @ BKiara Club.

Mixed doubles today
SS2 Chow Yang or where it used to be
Decided to try somewhere new today after service. Settled with Chow Yang in SS2. The shop has changed hand to Mee Yoke Lim. Have to say the mee yoke is not very good and the nasi kandar stall is no longer there...probably moved to it own shop just behind.
Used to rent a tiny store room in one of the houses on the left and that was many many years ago.

Federal Hill Residence
As seen from Hilton. Nice houses but some of these might be just too close to the highway.
Maybe should get one.....

Preparing next week busy schedule & guess where is this place?
Yes, dats the Lake Garden car park, teh tarik shop to the right & ice cream man hidden by the car. As before the park seems to be under perpetual renovation; signboard stated relandscaping between Nov05 to May06.
Tried a different route, going by the mini waterfall. Although there are markings on the corkboard track the place is a maze....cannot really tell where the markings were referring to as there were so many junctions. One good thing is that the tracks do provide some very challenging uphill attacks!
Went to the lake, happy that the railings are in place around the lake. Also did a run on the usual track but the track condition is atrocious..... Don't think will jog there again for a few reasons & as the saying goes.... some good things have to end.
Spit on the eyes....would you want it?
Pastor P posted a challenging question ? Would most of us want Jesus to spit on to our eyes to take away our blindness or would we insist on Him just touching our eyes to give us back our sight; well since He is the Almighty & able to heal even without having to physically touch anyone.
(Mark 8:22-26)
23 So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.
24 And he looked up and said, "I see men like trees, walking."
Another point Pastor P made was all blinds mentioned in the bible are men....no women. A gender issue? The Devil's work becos man needs to have vision becos he is the head of house i.e. take away his vision and he loses his ability ot lead. ref: extracted from Pastor P's notes

Growing special bamboo in a pot....
This is a special type of bamboo which have very thin stems and hence easy to maintain. The stems are even smaller than the yellow chinese bamboo. Have also planted some (hidden) near the water filter. So far has been not very successful but these two stems seem to sprout some
young shoots. Lets see the progress after a couple of months.
#Look for the koi fish in the mini pond.....
Finally,,,,,,,, the long awaited Shepherd Pie
Waiting for HWW's Shepherd Pie....
At Secret Recipe in MidValley while waiting for HWL's makeover. Will be going to Italian restaurant @ Bintang Walk tonight.
Latest update: Decided to postpone to next weekend

dAllAb crashed
Today Dallab crashed...it had been very stable for last 6 months.
Intitial thought, no problem...will just restore the system & data from backup. But holy cow it was a mess as the inbox just refused to work no matter how it was configured.
Finally needed to restore the setup to an older backup and re-synchronised all the data and reinstall certain add-ons. Well at least the inbox continue to function.
## Must tahan another 6 months to 1 year before buying a new pda-phone.
Miss and Wrong Turns Pt II & A Heavy Lunch
Should have known....reflecting this morning's series of events, actually the phone alarm did not ring as the phone was on a complete silent mode. Fortunately somehow the body clock "rang" @ 6.26am c.f. to the daily 6.25am alarm.
Must be more discipline - had heavy lunch @ the Pub and cannot really understand the link between the armour and the red phone booth there were used as a deco in the Pub.
Miss & Wrong Turns all the way
1st - Took the Sentral turnoff instead of the Istana ramp. Called M2 to send WL as would be able to reach home to pick up WL on time.
2nd - Was told that I need to send Josh however already stopped at different route. Need to U turn back to return home.
3rd - Reached home & kakak said that Josh not going to college!
4th - Decided to go Shang directly. However @ Bukit Binting traffic light took the turn to office instead....hence have do another U-turn

Mango & macademia nuts for dinner
Walked back to office from Shang around 7pm. Needed to help MS to take a mug shot of PF....and by the time ready for jog it was almost 8pm. Still managed to finish 5 km...somehow the shins are were bit painful.
Decided to take a very light dinner….1 medium mango and a few pieces of macademia nuts.
Day of sirens
Strange morning....sky was clear as we leave the house but then out of the clear sky it started to rain. Make our way to Taylor College for Josh JPA's psycho test .... probably to make sure he is not a potential JI candidate.
Later after dropping Josh in HELP, was on Jalan Shaw (that's the old name, don't know the localised) driving back to office, heard the siren from behind. From the rear mirror could see an ambulance trying to make its way. Most of the cars moved to allow the ambulance pass.
Went Imbi for chicken hor fun but unfortunately the favourite hor fun stall is not open today. Had dry curry yong tau foo instead with char koay teow.....heavy meal, need to really run this evening. While eating heard siren....hmmm...that’s the second one.
Used the Jalan Tun Razak route to return to office and again there was siren screeching. 3 sirens in a day!

Been a rush today.....
Been a rush today. Started the day in Shang & went back to office. Attended a telcon & went back to Shang to bring another projector as the projection was sort of burr. Turn out it was the font selection....did a quick & dirty conversion by bolding 100 slides. Went back to office & another two telcons. Was still determine to run & did 3km. Washed up & walked to Shang. Decided to take guys/gals to Vietnamese restaurant across beach.

Hummer H1 model nears end of the road
By DAVID RUNK THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
STAR-TELEGRAM/RAUL VASQUEZ
A Hummer H1 sits on display at Classic Hummer in Grapevine. The 2006 model year will be the last for the H1, GM announced Friday.
DETROIT -- The 2006 model year will be the last for the Hummer H1, the hulking, gas-guzzling status symbol that attracted celebrities and off-road enthusiasts but has drawn the ire of environmentalists.
General Motors Corp. announced the plans Friday for the H1, the foundation for the automaker's Hummer brand. The model based on the military's Humvee -- with about 12,000 put on the road since 1992 --defined the Hummer name
Happy Mother's Day
The nice mug is from church, the rose & card were made by WeiWen.
After church decided to have dim sum for lunch at our usual dim sum place off OKR.
HWW very sad, her little fingers "burnt" by a hot fork....daddy's mistake.
A happier WW later after some food

Lunching @ Secret Recipe
People are getting more health conscious
Did 3km today. Will take a shower & pick HWW up after sending this off.
# Also dropped the XTrail for wash at the club - had been looking for a convenient car wash where I can safely drop the car and also do something else like lunch etc. The wash cost RM15 which is the same as the what the car wash beside the DDP foodcourt charge but should be more convenient - car washed while I jog.
Waiting for HWW

Dry curry noodles in KLCC food court
The usual uncle & aunty were not there....maybe they went for a holiday. Heard the uncle complained about the long hours and the 7 31 (everyday of the week & month) that the stall must be opened. The rental is RM30k per month and my calculation is that the takings for the first 166 customers is for KLCC!
Anyway enjoyed my noodles....& cholesterol.
Credit from HSBC
A sum of RM1514.00 was charged to my supplementary Visa card for a non-existence transaction. The merchant is Toyota Service & fortunately the transaction date was on a day when I was on leave & hence I can recall exactly what we did. Of course the next thing is to ensure the cards are all still in the wallets.
Wrote to HSBC and subsequently spoke to a Mr.Liang. Apparently there were a number of issue with certain merchants including..... Was suppose to wait for a reply from the other bank. Checking my account today saw the amount being reversed. Just to proof that it is important to check the statements regularly and internet banking is proving to be extremely handy though not without its risks.
